Splitty with 1303 bug box, what MPG with Scooby 2.0n/a &

Hello,

My 1600 twinport has finally given up and I'm thinking about popping a 2.0L n/a scooby in instead.

I'm not looking for a speed machine but just a little bit more power on the hills and better MPG. Is anyone running a split with 1303 bug box? if so can you tell me what kind of MPG you get?

Also is anyone running a subaru on LPG? any tips pointers on this would also be great.

Speaking through inexperience, I'm led to believe that a type one box will have a Subaru motor screaming on the motor way.... When left with the stock gearing. You would need to have it rebuilt with better gear ratios if economy is your goal.

With my WRX motor and Porsche box, out of £30 of optimax I got 130miles. But they where hard fast miles and economy was not on the cards that weekend.
