Hi, not posted anything for a while on my car so thought I'd post a few pics to show some progress!.

Bodywork nearly done - Just need to fabricate radiator mounts and ducting(Going to use Polo rad in spare wheel well).



Built in some air scoops behind rear side windows - these should supply a good air supply for induction filter.

I'd be happy if its in paint by the end of the summer with a few finishing touches to do over the winter bud.

Thanks Elusive, I've just started on fabricating/fitting some cooling pipes to the floorpan so I should be updating thread in next week hopefully!. after that I think I'll fit the body back on and do a dry build to make sure I'm happy with it (hopefully fire it up as well!) - can't do much body prep with this poor weather at the moment anyway!

Looking forward to you next update, Im nearly at the stage of fixing pipes. Im interested in how you fasten them to the pan.
Are you running them down the center or going around the outside?

Going down the centre - outside (I did want to run them through the tunnel but there is too much going on in - as in gear selector, clutch & accelerator cables etc). Good chance that I'll be still running fuel lines through the tunnel. Will add some pics at the weekend when it should be pretty much boxed off!. Cheers Shrek

Been busy making up some clips to hold the coolant pipes to the floor pan, wasn't really keen on the traditional P style so came up with these!.


Pretty easy to make - I made the slots in bases by drilling holes and using a file, used a vice to form 90deg bends, bent the steel around a socket which was roughly same diameter as pipe and rubber sleeve to form the radius, drilled through both and finally welded a capless not on rear of base.

Just a glimpse of what it looks like on pan, will add more pics as I go along!

Just a few clips to fit at the front & rear - Not sure yet but may fit a motorbike rad with ducting to act as a charge cooler(this would be fitted where the pipe ends and in front of the axle tubes).


Had to cut floor pan and rework around the pipe!.

Cheers Guys for the good comments, finally got to the end of installing cooling pipe brackets etc (have left rear brackets for now as I'll be doing some fabrication to brace the rear shock mounts).
Here's a few pics before the bodyshell went back on - Again!!!


Made some double clips for under the front.

Bloke in the picture with the Starsky and Hutch style cardy is'nt me(honest), it's me mate from work who come round to tighten a few bolts with his strong hands - no ratchet here lads and lift the shell on!. P.s he's just been to a "Rave", hence the white gloves!.


Pretty happy with end result as the pipes aren't that noticeable unless you get right under!!!.
