So next is the charcoal cannister and its connections.
These are connected to the big round black box which can be found at the front of the Subaru engine bay. Oh the connection can be found underneath the plastic black expansion tank
Charcoal cannister,
My reference picture
Oh yeah the other end of these pipes are solid lines underneath the inlet manifold. I haven't documented them as I haven't had to disturb them in anyway and so are in the same position as when I received the car.
But you can see them both in this next picture which you'll have seen before..

Next I'm going to cover the original subaru expansion tank connections. By the looks of other peoples conversions this won't be much use to the majority and the subaru expansion tanks isn't commonly used. But as I haven't designed my new system yet I'm not totally sure on how I'm going to go about doing it yet. But here's the standard system....
Above you can make out the radiator bleed/overflow.
This one.....
And this one....
This top connection is the return connection from the turbo..
The return is fed from the turbo here
The bottom connection
Is feed from a metal hose which has two tabs and is bolted to the water manifold underneath the throttle inlet manifold. This pipe connects here...
Finaly there is the heater inlet and outlets. these have to be connected to one another and not just blocked up.
They are the long blue hoses running from the engine block into the subaru firewall..
looks like this on my engine..... bear in mind that I now have an RJES reveresed manifold so the heater output isn't identical to the subaru anymore but its close enough to the original location.
And the black heater return pipe can be made out underneath the blue hose... looks like its connecting to the drive shaft.

Gents... thats why I thought it would be good to make the effort to writing this up as although I documented the engine strip down I stil found it dawnting when connecting everything back together. such to the point i'm still not totally confident that they are all in the correct location but seeing as nobody has come here and corrected me I'll take it im doing alright
I realised I forgot to comment on the idle stabalisation vlave....
This breather hose is originally connected to the airbox resonator
Here...
Its the large thick black pipe in the picture.
The pipe looks like this

For those of you that may be interested I've got this engine all plumbed in now and I'm using a Vauxhall Frontera header tank.
How I've done this is listed here

Please not I'm not currently running a heater. _________________ Think......

My little black cylindrical thingy (top left) is broken on the top of the pressure exchange solenoid. Will it be ok ?
