i think ive got myself a scooby engine, 2.5 4cam it's from an 's'reg auto
now i just need a shopping list of what bits to get 
anyone got a must have list?
of course i will have the joy of sperating the ecu wiring from the rest of the loom. 
list,
adaptor and flywheel |

Weird size nuts & bolts. The M10's are 1.25 pitch not conventional 1.5

good work :-)
an RJEs kit would be right up there on my list.....then you can remove flywheel from your list.
radiator - big is best - mine (and elusives) is from an 80s Jag - big and cheap.
heater from something
pipes
a welder and lots of box section to make yer cradle from.
bits of exhaust from a kwik fit skip.....
theres plenty more but keep us updated on progress :-) |

your still gonna need a flywheel even if you use rjes stuff,just gonna be the scooby one that fits scooby cover plate. scooby flywheel bolts about £1-1.50 each from subaru.clutch cover bolts,manual starter motor from scooby if using rjes stuff(i have loads)(and flywheels)i know there is loads more so ...............

Range Rover V8 rads (early ones) are wide and not that tall - my old bay had one behind the front bumper. It did necessitate a change to rack and pinion steering though

i now got home my engine with the hole car...so now i have a 98 plate 2.5 4cam legacy 77k miles to use for parts... 
anyone tried fitting the legacy rad ?
should i keep the air con?
legacy also twin sunroof jobbie so perhaps i mite try to fit them too.
anyone know where the ecu's are positioned? |

I'd hazard a guess here, passenger foot well. That's where they are on Impreza's |

starter motors - when i change the flywheel/clutch can i still use the auto starter motor

i better add a starter motor to my list then......
trying to find engine code i'm guessing ej20 2.0lt so 2.5lt ej25?
anyother parts i said take from car for the conversion.
autohausdolby dones that mean i should use the scooby power rack
