Hi!

Just wandering if anyone else has had any issues with this item whilst running diesel/veg oil.

http://www.justkampers.com/111-209-147-a-petrol-tank-filter-vw-beetle-1950-on-t2-vw-split-1955-1967-vw-t2-bay-1967-1974.html

My diesel filters are as clean as a bell but the tank filter is the one that collects the crap. I've taken it out and cleaned it a few times but have resorted to just blowing down the line which sorts it to get me home!

I'll give the tank another good clean when I've got the chance - but I do wander whether this is too fine for diesels? Also - the power of the injector pump seems to suck and compact the filter, accelerating the effect?

I'm looking at this and wondering how you had this installed, I have a secondary veg tank which did have something like this inside, but my primary no.

I have my return lines fitted to the main part of the tank and ran both diesel and veg oil with no problems. having run both fuels in different tanks, I have only encountered one minor problem which is to do with thick veg oil, so I have my veg oil mixed with a tiny bit of diesel to make it pump easier.

other than that no issues.

Are you mixing fuels in one tank or do you use just one fuel?
