2004 sti do able or not?

Hi guys, been toying with the idea of upgrading the whole engine and wiring setup to a 2004 sti engine but wanted to know if anyone knows of any reason why it can't or shouldn't be done?

anything can be done depends on skills and money you have at you disposal? t2 turbo has a vvt from a 2007? car was loads of work maybe pm him?

Cool I'll give him a try. I picked up a 2004 sti engine at the weekend to replace my knackered bottom end but it's a complete engine so thinkIng about redoing all the wiring with the correct ecu and stuff.
