When I asked the same question at the Subaruvanagon Yahoo groups they told me to "rethread" the water temperature sender because the thread at the Subaru orginal temperature sender and the Autometer temperature sender is almost thesame but not entirely. Maybe it is possible to force the sender into the threads but then I reccomend you to add a lot of graphite lubricant first. You also have to drill a lager hole to get the sensor body to fit in there.
I have also the same oil issues as you have, I will move the oil filter to an other place where I got more ground clearence. Then I will install an adapter between the filter and the external filter holder. The adapter has a number of holes where you connect sensors for temperature and pressure measuring. Maybe I also will install an oil cooler onto one of the hoses between filter orginal location and the new filter holder. _________________ SVX Power! |
