1972 Bay Engine Wiring

Hello,

I am almost there with my Ford 1800 Diesel conversion, just the final wiring jobs then on to the cooling side of things

Can anyone help me try and find out what x5 wires are for that come into the engine bay. Unfortunately i wasnt careful removing the air cooled engine, so i didnt label any of them!

Green (Positive when ignition turned on)
Grey / Greenatr
Blue / Green (Positive when ignition on ?? oil pressure switch ??)
White
Black (Positive when ignitions on ?? Coil Positive)

Basically i want to know what they originally did so that i can re-use them rather than chasing the wires to the front or using new wires.

Hi I've copied this from another thred but it might help, it the wiring from my 1972 bay mateing to a Ford 1800D

I cant remember exactly what wires are what and some are obviously new wires put in but it may help.

I've used a 6 fuse, fuse box to joint all the cables together and I've marked what each fuse is for so here goes.

Vw wire.............Fuse box lable..................Escort Wire

1xblack.............Engine switch on...............3xblack
1xWhite....................................................................

2xblack.............ignition switch on starting...1xgray

1xblue..............Oil....................................1xbrown/green

1xbrown...........Water...............................1xbrown/white

1xblue..............Alternator.........................1xblack

1xbrown...........Glow plugs........................1xblack/red
