coolant pipes

ok, the citroen engine (diesel) engine is now semi mounted in the van and am now looking at the cooling system. my van is originally lawn mower so ive got the mission of plumbing in a coolong system.
im planning on running the flexable coolant rubber hose from the engine to the front of the van.
does anyone see a problem with this. i know people say try and get hold of some used t25 plastic pipes but funds and time scale are tight.
any advice from people who have done this would be much appreciated

i used mdpe 32mm plastic plumbing pipe with steel inserts in the end to stop it crushing seems to work ok so far and was about 40 quid for 25 meters, even comes in 3 colours
