I think I will go for a bush as you say. Can`t get the old one out yet but will have another go tomorrow- someone recommended wet toilet paper instead of grease to drift it out ...

thanks for advice- i`ll try and get bush out that way then and see what the outer dia is . Be great if i can get an off the shelf bearing to fit!
