On this engine the bearing actually goes in the end of the crank on the flywheel end Laugh Out Loud

The GSF website shows two

One being 02280 and one being 02283

I think its the first one I used but both are the same diameter one is longer.

Both are also shown for diesel so I think you may ...

Have you got the dizzy hole in the case, like your old 2e?

Moving it to there has been suggested before, you'll need to make a blank for the old hole though
